I think it will be as others have mentioned, and a number of these used ones for sale by the dealers are ex demos or are simply from upgrading to another bike. You may find that a lot of the owners who buy their bikes brand new do not want the hassle of selling privately when its easier to just trade in against something new when they are ready for change. I would not be looking at it as a concern either way, as the bikes in general seem to be very well received and are getting great reviews from owners. I think with the simplicity of the bikes and the value for money that's offered, its very hard to beat.

Mark, I believe the 535 Continental GT has not been in production for some time now, I do see there are a number of new ones still available at dealers but assume these are just late registered bikes.

Did not realise that the 535 Continental GT was no longer in production.

Shame really because I quite like em.

Just seen a 535 Continental GT heading North out of the Lizard Village. (Must have been for a cup of tea at the café on the point.)

Hi Andy C,

I love my Himalayan but it did let me done on one occasion though. I had a throttle cable snap on me about 2 inches from the throttle body end. The bike had only done 2500 at the time. I had to push the bloody thing 6 miles home. Getting hold of a genuine replacement in a hurry wasn't easy though. I ended up buying a universal one and made it fit which turned out to be quite easy in the end. The new universal cable seems to be of much better quality too. I also broke an indicator whilst getting the bike out of my garage one morning (my bad) and on inspection noticed that they are really cheap indicators. Remember that the bike was built cheaply but for the money you can't really go wrong. I have ridden many bikes but nothing has put a smile on my face quite like my Himalayan. I use mine as my daily commuter (20 mile round trip) and a little bit of green lining and it performed very well during the recent snow fall.

Thanks for that - fair play to that young lady.

Probably says a lot about the Himalayan.....

The young lady tempted fate when she said she had not had a puncture yet.
(I wonder if we would get the help in Britain she did on the way to Kuala Lumpur.)
