do the rocker blocks up without the rocker arm fitted, and with a telescopic gauge, measure the diameter in a few spots and find your average. now measure the rocker arm bearing face with a vernier. compare your tolerances in cold/running temps. an easier way of finding out if your rockers are binding, is to manually rock your rocker arms back and forth with your fingers at eng running temp *may require removal of pushrods*. cant see how a normal functioning rocker assy would bind at high temps though.. check to see if sufficient amount of oil is reaching bottom rocker block bearing surface.
