Ignition off: close the points by rotating the cam and use a multimeter to check for continuity between the negative side of the coil (coil to distributor lead) and the distributor base plate or any part of the engine/frame. There should be no resistance. Rotate the cam further to open the points fully and check with a multimeter again. There should be infinite resistance, as the connection should be broken.
Any divergence from these readings at this stage suggests that the ignition components have been incorrectly located, and they must be removed, inspected and reinstalled.
Regarding your other question, with ignition on, there will only be power both sides of coil when points are open..... when points close current runs through coil to earth to energise it.

Your nearest Pazon dealer seems to be in Sweden or Denmark, though I'm sure some of the UK stockists might sell within the EEA, just remember that you do not pay VAT as you're outside the European Union , lucky so and so!

Pazon list of international stockists here:

Info on the Sure Fire here, note they will ship directly for free over NZ$150, this is NZ$ 167 for the 12V system, which on their currency converter works out around 885 Krone.

I don't remember if you said your bike was 6 or 12 volt. If it's 12V you could also fit a Boyer Bransden Mk4 ignition from our hosts.

Thank you so much for all your good advice.
I got power on the breakerplate, I guess thats wrong?
I´m I right about that only the breaker points and the condenser should have power and there shall be no power on the breaker plate itself?

Have a look at Gwilly's diagram..... make sure the wire tags are round the step in washer so they can't earth on the mounting stud. They should only connect to the spring of points. Base plate is earthed to engine through it's mounting bolts so when - and only when - the points close are the two wires earthed. This is what induces coil to produce spark. Hence they are live until earthed by points closing.

Just a moment, though.... if your breaker plate is free and not screwed into place and the points are closed then indeed it would be live - it needs to be fitted so it is earthed to engine and adjusted so points open and close when engine turned.

Are we barking up the wrong tree? Its as if the engine isn't earthed to the frame, which is unlikely.

However it is very likely that the frame has a poor earth back to the battery..

How does the horn and brake light perform together, ignition on...

Really need a multimeter reading battery to frame.. Positive or negative earth?

Gwilly, I think you are on to something here, I have noticed that my headlight dont come on when I turn on the ignition and turn on the lights, and the bulb is new, only the parklight comes on.
I will take a look at this.

Also, the horn sounds fine and the breaklight is ok.

Headlight only works when engine running. But do check all earths, cb to engine to frame to battery, and headstock to frame important too.

And I do think you are on to something here.

Thank you all so much for all the good advice, I found finally out what was wrong!
The frame had poor earth back to the battery, so I moved the earth wire, then I fastend the breaker plate, and I got spark :-)

But, I still got a issue, when I have fully charged the battery (the battery is new, bought it this spring), it only holds the power fore a little while, I can see the park lights get weaker and weaker, in only
a few minutes.

Is this something someone else of you also have experienced?
