Hello Norm, My bike is a 2000 500 bullet. its been used as a trials bike so has no switches or wiring harness as such. It has the four wire alternator with two wires going to a boyer powerbox regulator. the amber and yellow were not wired at all but the small ac regulator is still fastened unwired to the frame. I was hoping to get some lights from the ac if possible using older type switch in the headlight and the handlebar dip. The bike is still going to be a trials but just with basic lighting no indicators etc. I started looking back last night through the forum and came across the debate on wiring the ac alternators. If I can get a basic set up for an mot I would be happy as the lights will only be emergency items. Thanks Dickie

Hi Dickie if you can find the yellow wire from the alternator / A/C regulator up the front of the loom, this wire connects to your dipper switch and the orange wire connects to the earth point on your headlight bulb. From the dipper switch the 2 wires go to high and low on the bulb

Hello Norm, thanks for the wiring tip. I have both the orange and yellow wires so it will be simple to wire up. Thanks Dickie
