The bead on my new TT100's have a little yellow circle which I think is the mark for best balance. If so, should you place the mark next to the valve, or opposite? Cheers!

I initially balance the rim by itself to find the heavy spot with the valve core and cap in place, mark it for future reference, and mount the tire with the dot (usually yellow or white, the light spot on tire) lined up with the heavy spot on the rim. Of course that's with tubeless rims. But to be even more precise with tube types, one could slip the tube over the rim, inflate it just a bit, install the stem nut and cap and then balance the rim with just the tube and mark the heavy spot. It most likely will be at the valve stem, but only one way to be sure.

Must admit i dont worry too much about wheel balance on the slomo enfield.

Plenty of other shakes and rattles at 75 mph to draw the attention..

I usually then change into top and POWER through, get a bit of a shimmy around 108 but thats maybe swing arm/rear shock related.....//? Eh Agh, Nurse saying its time for my bath. TOODLE PIP....

Hi BARRY N, ----------- this was all in the recent thread headed }--- "Wheel Rim"... Shows you lads at the back of the class are not paying attention again !! (LoL).....Yes, yellow dot = lightest = next to valve ( By inference therefore the heaviest is opposite the valve meaning less balance weights needed )
