Now I do feel totally and utterly stupid!!!!
This morning went to see a friend who owns a sall motorbike and scooter shop , told of my problem.
His answer was short: go back home and clean that carb!!
"But I've cleaned it about 5 times!!!"
"Start again!!Focus on the choke, something's blocking it"
"But....."
"Go home and clean that carb!!"
So I went back home , cleaned the carb , air line and carb cleaner , focused on the choke ....put it back on the bike and......nothing , same as before.
Took it off again , to bring to my friend , took the carb bowl off to empty the petrol , and there the obvious answer was just in front of my eyes: I'd cleaned the carb but had only given a quick wipe to the inside of the bowl....but the choke petrol inlet is in a moulding in the carb , like a small well , and the petrol fills it by a small hole at the bottom....now you've guessed , THIS hole was blocked.
Everything back to normal , but I do feel stupid, so thanks VERY much to everyone who answered me.....
