I have made one and fitted to my Himalayan - basically just a B3950 10 K NTC Thermistor in series with the air intake temp sensor.
I found out about this from someone else who had used it with great success, as far as mine goes it seems to work well. Tickover is improved, bike is much smoother off the throttle, and it has not died on me once since fitting.
The random cutting out does cause me some concern, mainly from a safety standpoint, so if it only stops that I'll be happy.
The bike still pops a little but rather than on the overrun it now pops if you are going on / off the throttle a lot, so usually in urban areas.
Generally the bike feels as though it is running better, the only other mod it has is our hosts air delete kit fitted to it - that definatley is an improvement.
Not saying that my mod would work on all models as I would imagine ECUs are different / temp sensor resistances are probably different, just saying it seems to work with mine.
Previous bikes - far too many !!
