There is also a mod that can improve starting and another number of ailments with some of these bikes getting a bit of age on them and that is to fit a relay to supply power directly to the coil. This prevents voltage drop that happens through connectors in the loom, ignition switch,kill switch, all contribute to voltage loss due to age and corrosion, something most people overlook.
