I have done 3000 klm trouble-free since decoking, in January 2014. I took the piston off because I didn't know any better at the time. Not blaming anyone but myself. I had a lot of carbon build up, got some gunk under the exhaust valve and had to use a brass brush and ATF to get it all off. Then I put the piston back on the conrod with the same circlips. Like I said, I didn't know any better. A lesson learned the hard way is a lesson well learned.
I will take the crank out if it is necessary and have a machinist check it. I had no intention of deceiving anyone. Norm was telling me that the gudgeon pin busted out of the piston side because the crank has to be out. If that is true then thats true, but I have had no indications anything was wrong. The bike barely vibrates when riding 100kph! I've done 13,500 klm since the crank was fitted with a roller bearing and steel conrod and have enjoyed every minute. Just a bit confused.
