Hi,
This may have been covered before but my 1963 twin sport (the last of the model) has a clutch that is not the one in the last bike manual that was 1961. I have a leak from the engine into the primary chain case so i need to remove the clutch and alternator to get at the seals for both. Would anyone know a link to a video or instruction that could guide me in tackling this job?
Thanks
John

Hi, i dont know of any videos etc but its a pretty straightforward job. Nothing much changed inside the primary cases between 1961-1963 so the workshop manual pretty much covers it. Dont forget the washer for the crank oil seal. I dont know if there is an engine breather on the end of your crank? My 1960 Connie had one, i got rid of it (I think RE didtched the idea later but i'm not sure). Anyway this breather can be another source for engine oil getting into the primary.

If you have a look in the workshop manual from the last Interceptors (on H's in pdf format) it'll show/tell you the arrangement of the washer, oil seal & its correct orientation . As far as i know this information is not in the earlier manual, just a brief mention that from a certain engine number the felt seal was replaced by a proper neoprene one. hope this helps
