I don't mind ordering from the USA, also looked and contacted the JRC site, but when ordered it will get twice as expensive (included posting fee) because of import rules.. That would come of ca. 300 euro for a carb.

The JRC thingy, would it be an 20-30 euro oko with gleud-on adaptor be, and nothing else?
Or something of some more quality?

If all else fails....my 350 with it's 26mm Wassell concentric clone is still doing very nicely....

I did notice some minor wear on the engine (suction) side of slide when I took it off the bike to rebuild the cylinder head a few days ago but thankfully AMAL parts can be used for spares on these.

Yes, the bike usually starts first kick and idles very well. Obviously, this is a universal fit item so it did need a bit of setting up but in the end all I’ve done is fit a 170 main jet, rather than the 160 that it came with.

After I bought this carburettor some told me how poor they are supposed to be. In fact I’ve had no trouble at all (the bike did almost 8,000 miles last year) and because it’s 26mm instead of the original 24mm Mikcarb (and came with a short “stub stack”) it’s also given me better output from the engine. Overall I’m very pleased with it, especially at the price. I think I paid £72.

OE AMAL parts will fit so there’s no problem keeping it in top condition.

If money was no object, I’d have bought a Premier Concentric, rather than a cheap clone. At the time I had lost confidence in the original Mikcarb VM24 due to the ongoing problems I’d had with it, despite buying spares from our host to rebuild and re jet it.

I don’t know, because I’ve not owned a 500 Bullet (but I’m sure others here will, including Mr Bullet Whisperer will be happy to give his expert opinion gained from his very successful engine tuning and racing experience).

I personally think that using high revs is less damaging than slogging an engine - provided that the engine is kept well maintained, with good quality oil used and changed often. I would like to emphasise that I don’t ride my 350 like that very often - but it is good fun to give it some beans every so often.
