Hi all could anyone recommend where I could get a re bore done in the Birmingham area, All the companies that I used to use have all now gone, its a shame that our hosts don't offer this kind of service as they have an excellent machine shop which make parts for us. When I say Birmingham area I don't mind traveling say within a 20 mile radius. alan

I am local and when my Honda 400/4 needed a rebore last year my mate doing the work who is a bike/ car mechanic who is also local sent the barrels off to Grampian Engineering who i think are in Liverpool as he does not know of a competent engineering shop in the Birmingham area although i'm sure there must be one!Have you asked our hosts who they would use?

Hello BIG AL -----OK, again not in North Brum, but close(ish). I use these people.}------BRADBURY ENGINEERING in North Shropshire------- http://www.classicandvintageengines.co. ... html------ It doesn't say on the web advert but they do motorcycle engines as well. Recently I've had a Honda PC50 barrel for a re-bore & an Enfield 500 barrel for a fin re-weld. One of the few "old school" type of machine shops left where the guys actually know what they're talking about.
