Can anyone tell me what is the unit mounted under the seat of my 2020 Bullet Trials. Whatever it is it stops me from changing the standard seat for a low rider seat so I would also like to know if it can easily be easily mounted somewhere else?
Thanks.

Its the rollover sensor. It cuts the ignition should the bike fall over.
You can move it to another location but you have to keep it in the same orientation otherwise your bike won't go.

The unit in question is mounted on the centre line of the frame and is consists of a tube about 50 mm diameter and 60 mm long with a tube(?) and wiring connected to it. The roll over sensor is mounted on the right side of the frame and is much smaller with only a wire connected to it. I have no idea what the offending unit is and looking at pictures of other 2020 Bullets they do not seem to have it - unless it is mounted elsewhere? There is also a larger cylindrical unit that can be clearly seen between the battery box and the tool box on the Trials model which I assume is part of the emission control system. Once again looking at other 2020 Bullets this unit also is not mounted there - if the other Bullets have it?
So the mystery is that the Trials appears to certainly have a different equipment layout - unless other 2020 Bullets are not fitted with whatever this equipment may be?
Any ideas anyone?

Or it maybe your starter solenoid?
A pic of your offending item would help.

I haven't had the seat off yet as I'm reluctant to start pulling an almost brand new bike to bits so cannot take a picture but I'm certain that's it so thank you very much for that. Next question is can it be easily located - say into the empty box in front of the air filter? I did see an Indian video that said shove it, but didn't say what it was, in the battery box but I'm sure there's no spare room in that.
I assume the picture is of your Bullet Trials so how are you getting on with it? I am still working towards the first service on mine and have to control my urge to give it a quick blast and remember I'm running it in. I do stick to the slow back lanes, which is why I have this particular bike, but find I often get in the way of the 4x4's which of coarse own every road, cut every corner and can't slow down!
Thanks once again.

Not my bike, its a photo from royal enfield gb, Facebook group.
He is removing all the emissions hardware.
I have a couple of C5 , the classic 500.
I rember looking at the trials when they first came out and was looking at the sticky up bits under the seat that are not there on the C5.
