My 2007 Electra X seized its big end several weeks ago showing 11700 miles on speedo. As this is my go to bike, (nearest he garage door) i need to replace it. So to fund said machine i put my 1963 500 triumph 5TA Speed Twin up for sale. This sold last Saturday for a fair price. Why not ride this you might ask? Well i like indicators, mirrors, 12v lighting and more importantly good brakes....... Modern city traffic is very unforgiving. I am pleased to tell you i have purchased a 2018 Classic Stealth euro 4 with only 451 miles on the clock. this is from a RE dealer who supplied the bike from new. Its got the rear disk and ABS. questions for you all out there, is the frame geometry the same as my Electra X ? and will it have more road speed, ie cruise at 70? . Pick the bike up Saturday.
Roll on Saturday!

Despite the poorer choice of tuning parts for the Electra-X compared to the classic engine, the Electra-X is tune-able, and there are a few things you can do to strengthen the rebuilt engine as well as soup it up.

Have a look in the forum archives, there's a fair bit about this. I would suggest our hosts' sleeved con-rod with the Alpha big end is a good starting point. Once you have beefed up the bottom end, it's playtime!
