Well, you see in Switzerland we got to get our motorbikes through a very strict MOT every other year. And there, they do actually take out a microphone and a sound level meter! And it's not just the sound level produced with an idling engine, they also measure the noise when you are opening the throttle - and that's where the rub is, for me. The intake noise is no problem when the engine is idling, but it becomes a very big issue when you rev the engine up.
So, you may understand now why I'm so frantically looking for a solution to my air filter problem. If I can't come up with anything reasonable, I will have to take everything back to its original form - and I simply don't like those bulky metal side boxes very much.

Sometimes, Latuerbrunnen a couple of times and even managed a week in Davos that was half price. Thank goodness.
Also Pfunds in Austria lots of times and run up to Samnaun for duty free petrol. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I also see a number of the austrian passes are not allowing motorcycles at weekends.
Lots of on the spot sound checks and €250 fines.
Lots of brand new bikes straight out the showroom are now too noisy.

Okay, got in touch with the guy from ACE. They discontinued the airbox years ago, due to supplier problems. So that's gone, then. Unless somebody has one of these things somewhere in a garage or a dark corner of a basement.
