Me too, my bike's idle wasn't reliable, despite a lot of time setting up the carb, embarrassing when it coughed and cut out at junctions, traffic lights etc. There is no facility to adjust the timing on my 350 Electra, or a way to check what it was set at in the factory.

It instantly cured that problem and it was worth the expense just for that but I'm really very surprised how much better the bike goes; it's provided an all round performance boost, especially when pottering along then opening the throttle to pull under higher load.

Ign coil should be .5 to 3hms. RE coils are 6.5--well mine was. Best 10 pound I ever spent was a new 2 pound fifty coil with plug lead and suppressor cap. I got an idle like a cement mixer.

Iridium plugs are for aircraft because you can't pull over and change it.

Turbine engines are even better for aircraft. Ideally two of them because you only need a spark plug during the start sequence. But they cost a lot more than a £10 spark plug!

Iridium spark plugs will last up tp ten times the life of a standard plug. so you are not always changing plugs. I had one in the Bullet for nearly years with no problems. Usually come with advice not to adjust the gap, and not try to clean them.
Modern cars usually come fitted with them because half the engine bay needs to be taken apart to get at them.
