Just an up date and don’t want to tempt fate.

When I cleaned the carb in June, I also replaced the plug and plug cap. Touch wood I’ve not had the stop since.
So, one of those three things has hopefully cured it :D
Could have been that lump of gasket in the bowl...... or..... plug or cap.... queue Psycho music :mrgreen:

Well lets hope its fixed then---but if not I would rip open the wiring loom at the neck where it has to bend left and right to go round corners. Multi core wires are pretty good at bending but not for years and years. They eventually break apart 'slowly' giving all kinds of head aches. Pretty common on older machines.

Just another thing to look at.

Not in this case. It would just stop when moving in a straight line and would start Four or five minutes later, not a minute later, which made me think of heat. Which a tiny part of me thinks it might not have been the gasket piece. Still, I hope it’s relegated to the past.
