"Simply Murderous."
This is good advice, I took it, they are great, you will not regret it!Adrian wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2020 9:38 amI'd add my recommendations for the Avon AM26 when you fit new ones, 100/90 x 19 rear, 3.25" x 19 front. The latter can be a little harder to find, with the 90/90 x 19" being more common. Get the 3.35" if you can, it looks better, and the speedometer is calibrated for the front wheel with this size of tyre.
A.
You did remember to reverse the rotation?
Thanks, yes, I tried one first with reverse direction and then as front rotation and both only lasted abut 2k miles each. Bear in mind they were well over 50% worn when I fitted them and I paid a tenner each (and my mate owns a tyre fitting business so fits my tyres for a box of beer at Christmas ) then not too bad, they handled well on the sort of muddy, claggy back roads and lanes I like to ride.
