Having decided to put my head in the noose I have purchased an Electra X complete with several boxes of spares and receipts totalling over a monkey spent largely at Hitchcocks. I wondered about people's views on using Easy Start to breath life back into said motorcycle. Yah or nah? or perhaps haanji / nay?

EasyStart should be a last resort, it's usually used for engines with serious/terminal problems! Try and start it normally first and if it's a bit reluctant (likely if it's been standing,) work through the problems in a logical way, one at a time. Good luck!

If it's going to run, it should start on fresh petrol. FRESH is the operative word; the entire fuel system might need cleaning/flushing through.

Hi Mark, I have never been able to start my Inter without it, I have a can mounted in the left tool box with a hose directly into the inlet manifold. Can kick it for a week and it won't start without it

Norm: I think it`s like drugs with humans, the engine gets addicted to it.
There in nothing that cannot be repaired if enough money is thrown at it.

Another old wives tale Leon about engines getting addicted to the stuff, another load of bollocks. I know it is a fueling issue, I have tried several carbies, rebuilt some of them and not the slightest improvement. I even fitted Pazon ignition thinking the magneto may be part of the problem. At least with the Pazon you can adjust the timing without removing the timing cover. So about 10 years ago I set it up with the starter fluid and then I know I can start it

Leon, pub starts after club meetings have always provided much entertainment to the gathered crowd as Norm prepares to start his Inter
