Hi everyone,

I'm an new 2019 Classic 500 Euro IV owner from Germany.

I'm a little bit confused when it come's to rear break pedal adjustment. Because I can't find anything to do this.

I know the procedure on drum breake models. but there is no nut to adjust on the new ABS model.

In top position the break pedal clunks against the exhaust pipe. Am I missing something? Or is it only badly fittet?

thank's, but they don't use this type of pedal anymore.

That's my problem. For the type you show me, there are plenty videos out there.

But not a single one for the new type.

Apparently there is a stop but not on the pedal itself, you need to look closely,

The only "stop" is the exhaust pipe at the moment

The pedal rotates freely on the rotation bolt and ist attached to the spring (parallel) you can see on the picture, to come back up, when you had pressed it down.

On the bottom end the pedal is attached to the master break assy https://www.thesparescompany.com/bike/r ... -assy.html

This is only adjustable for the travel the lever has to come by to engage the rear break.

Very confusing

Maybe the Pedal is made poor and doesn't fit, how it should be!?

The Haynes manual when advising on how to adjust rear brake pedal height makes no distinction between the rear drum (earlier) type and rear disc brake. Elsewhere in the manual it explains any differences. If that is correct then the adjuster is on the frame, not the pedal. I don't have a Euro IV model so cannot be definitive. Sorry.

I own the Haynes Manual. It says clearly "rear break pedal adjustment for drum brake". There is no section for disc breake models.

They use a totally different rear Break lever at the Euro IV (see the ebay link in the top). There is no possibility to adjust the pedal on the frame which you can do with the old style ones.

The hole for the adjuster screw is in the frame indeed, but have no function nor a screw to catch on.

Apparently the height adjustment involves loosening off the nut on the pivot, putting the pedal end level with the foot rest and tightening the nut back up.)

I tried. Unfortunately no effect. There are no ratchets where the pedal coud hang on. It pivots freely.

Only hold in place witch this spring.

Right, last try remove the clevis pin that is on the actuating rod of the master cylinder that connects to the foot brake lever. undo the locknut on the shaft that goes into the master cylinder, lengthen the rod until the brake pedal clears the silencer.
