Evening all,

My 2018 C5 Classic headlight glass is cracked full width. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace just the glass?

I see that our hosts do not list the glass on its own but many sites do list just the glass (I assume Indian spec).

From looking at pictures, it looks like the same casquette with lucas-type 7" round headlamp insert with two part rim as the majority of other enfields, so the world is pretty much your oyster.

I will say I tried one of the neolite ones and wasn't particularly impressed, in my oppinion the original Indian one had a better beam pattern and no little cone on the inside in front of the bulb to vibrate loose and rattle about inside the reflector. Our hosts sell both.

I see part LU/550875 on the website which is just the glass but I am not sure if this is 7 inch size, or if my glass will separate from the rim. Anyway best I start butchering the existing light to see what’s what as it will probably shatter soon anyway

Ah. The glass and reflector are made as one piece insert on a modern headlamp. The reflector part is also glass and is probably also cracked. You need the full insert. Like part: 145016 or 92090

Here's what I have. Those little spring clips hold it into the rim. I suspect yours will be similar. I would strongly recommend wearing goggles when fitting them.

Looking at mine it is one piece reflector and glass, the reflector is okay just the glass is cracked. I will order the sealed unit. And thanks for the tip about the sprng toggles and eyes!!

FYI I watched a few videos of how to just replace the glass on these, basically you smash the crap out of lens then bond a new piece of glass to the reflector rim
