I wondered if a seized 350 engine with a possible damaged is worth a punt to work on, gain some engine experience or would it be an expensive door stop?
Could it be used in a dead Electra or squeezed into another British bike frame?
My gut feeling is that its not worth the time collecting but at £150?

for 150 quid I would be all over it but then it depends on your skills to rebuild the motor, if you have to pay somebody to do it it quickly becomes a money pit. Depending on the damage you can easily throw another at least 400 quid at it just in parts

Sorry Cov Lad I just realized it is just the motor? I imagined you were talking about a complete bike, if not let it go.

Worth a punt for that. If you get fed up, parting-out a pair of undamaged crankcases, primary cover and tappet covers would see you getting your money back. If it has the gearbox attached, a working gearbox will more than cover your outlay.

However, if it's the one on ebay I think it is, it's almost certainly going to go for a lot more than £150, there are a lot of bidders. It says Indian in the advert but I don't think it is. It's got a bolt on crankcase breather stub and lucas distributor. If you do win it, post back with the engine number.
