I've tried a few searches through the Forum with no luck on this topic, so apologies if it's in an obvious thread elsewhere. For probably peculiar reasons I want to investigate changing out the speedometer gearbox on my 2020 C5 Trials Replica. Yeah, yeah, brand new, I know, I'm tinkering! There seem to be two sizes of the wheel end, the "drive end" if you will, of the inner cable - a thicker one, and a thinner one which is the type I have fitted to my machine. I have the black gearbox.
Can anyone advise whether the thicker drive cable inner can be used with a gearbox suitable for ABS, or is this a dead end? Indeed, are there two different "driven end" square shaft sizes?
It's to do with getting a neat installation of an Acewell speedo/tach/trip meter.
Thanks in advance...
