I have started another thread on it

Dai, did you use a sealant? Blue Hylomar or Wellseal would help. If all else fails, could you not retro-fit a gasket?

I have just spoken to Paul (Bullet Wisperer) and the plan forwards (spellin) is going to be a solid copper gasket anealed, deburred, and coated with spray sealant .
As I said I have stripped the valves out just too see and they're in great shape
Now I just have to get the washers out and wait for the gasket and new washers from our hosts

This lock down is great time to work on my bike's without getting those knocks on the door "can you look at my car , bike, mower, strimmer, rotovator, etc,"

I have just had a phone call however "can you help me put a Nissan Sunny carb on my gold wing CB1100" problem is he's a good mate and I like a challenge!

Off to get these washers out now

Wish me luck Dai
