has anyone fitted an improved roll-on stand to fit a 59 connie ? i see an advert for a early bullet one is that it?? thanks

Fitting Indian (pre 2008) centre stands to Redditch REs is a pretty good idea, though with the twins you really need a 2 into 1 exhaust pipe, other wise the left hand pipe fouls the foot lever on the left hand side of the stand, which is the main reason why there is a benefit from fitting one. All my Redditch framed bikes(OK, they're singles) have Indian stands .

I modified an old BMW roll on-roll off stand to fit my Connie - works brilliantly and takes almost no effort.

This appeared as an article in the REOC's magazine (The Gun) some 11 years ago (no idea of the issue no. I'm afraid!)
