Hi all,

As above between the header and the silencer. 2002 350 Bullet.
I’ve separated it, it is a snug fit, a good long fit.Don’t really want to use gum gum, any preferences?

Cheers

John

Ordinary bathroom silicone sealant is absolutely fine, no special automotive grade required. Don't know if you can still buy it in avocado, though.

Well, if you’re going back in time, I’d better search for sepia, pampas, primrose or sandalwood!

I never would thought of silicone sealant! I’d have assumed it would melt under the heat.

Thanks guys.

I don't know why but normal RTV silicone seems to be more tolerant to heat than the high temperature stuff

Free tip exhaust putty, gun gum, etc don't seem to work for chrome bike exhausts

Take care all Dai
