Hello MIDGE }-----I think just by definition alone most of us on here on our Enfields should be ok BUT it's bringing ever closer the inevitable clash twixt the Police ( stout upholders of law ) and whichever Govmt. "Agency" reduced the noise test levels a while ago to be "------ at the discretion of the examining officer"....... Because, despite what that paper has printed, the noise aspect of your exhaust system is still part of the MoT, only now there are no actual figures or numbers laid down, just the "opinion" of the examiner at the time in relation to the standard exhaust system as fitted when that vehicle was "Type-Approved" for sale in the UK...... It begs the question }---"What bench-mark figures are the Police going to use for their equipment ?... Where have they sourced that information from and, most importantly...will it "hold water" in a court of Law ?? Non the less, I think it wise for our Enfield buddies in Essex to keep alert to this---no need to be a "Test case", is there ???? -------------------------------- a policeman's lot is not a happy one, (happy one) !!!!.... OOhh !! I feel a song coming on.
