Hi, after my 2007 Electra not charging a d ghen not sparking I am chasing an elusive electrical fault ( a fiddle with connectors etc got it charging for a while, so I think it is poor connection rather than parts failure ) but.... alternztor reads .8 on multimeter, so well in range, but pulsar unit 8s showing 360 ....book says 180 to 220. I follow what the unit does, but why would it read so high? They are temporarly unavailable on the on line parts book.
Any thoughts or advice grztefully received as I am easily baffled by lectricks!

Ignitor coil? Tells the ECU when to make sparks. Crank position sensor?

PULSAR COIL
SPECIFICATION

180 - 240 (ohms).

Hi Haggis, thanks for the reply. Any idea why resistance is higher than recommended, or indeed what difference it makes!
