Just wondering if the Ewarts fuel tap corks will work in place of the recommended corks
The reason for asking is I have about a half dozen of the Ewarts corks
I have ordered the correct ones and will measure them up when they arrive to know for sure
But if someone knows it will save me a few days waiting for them to get here
I know that the Ewarts corks are a lot smaller than the Enfield ones when they have been used , but I don't think there's a lot in it when the corks are new
Here's hoping someone knows Dai

OK scratch that I will answer my own question here
If anyone is interested the answer is no
The Ewarts corks are too small
Hurry up Mr postman
Cheers all Dai
My lovely Ann asked me if I wanted to go to the garage so I just had to try
Happy new year all

If it's not disintegrated, chuck the old one in boiling water for about 30 seconds. They swell up again. This is for fuel taps, not oil feeds, i wouldn't take the chance with an oil feed one.

It's the oil feed one I need I had two in a pot of oil on the kitchen window cill but my lovely Ann has tidied them up!
Oh well I can wait for the postman
Only problem is that I know that I will find other jobs that will want doing?
Like replacing the fork gaiters rebuilding the carb getting a tick over! replacing the right fork stop (no not that the tank works well enough for that oh the joy of not having to worry about MOT)
No rush it's cold outside
Cheers Dai
