Hi everyone,

I have a Lucas style tail lamp, that at the moment works normally except only ever on full power. So when I'm braking it comes on normally, but with the headlights or pilot lights on it's like that all the time, like I'm braking. Anyone had this problem/know how to fix it?

Cheers,

Geraint

Sounds like a bad earth. Clean fixing bolts and probably best to
add an extra earth wire back to battery. REgards, Mark

As above, most likely a bad earth but I have also seen a bulb failure cause this when a blown "light" filament welded itself to the "brake" filament. So maybe try a new bulb in too.

I had a similar experience a month back. It was the front brake light switch, that had come loose from the handlebar control causing it to be on all the time.
