Hi Im having trouble removing a crankcase stud from my Indian Bullet. have tried turning it and tapping it but it wont budge. Am I missing something or is it just seized? thanks

When you get the stud out, be aware that the outer of the two drive side main bearings is retained by a cir-clip sandwiched between the two bearings, you need to remove the inner bearing to get at this cir-clip.

Don't forget that the worm drive gear on the timing side of the crank is a reverse thread, clockwise to unfasten and you may need a special tool to remove the small gear on the timing side of the crank.

thanks John - just managed to pull it out using a nut and some washers. thanks for the heads up re circlip and worm drive. i have a puller on order. thanks again
