Hi Stinkwheel

Unusual name that!!
As far as I am aware these Enfields have no diagnostic port, unless the dealers have a specific bit of kit.
There is a wire that you can ground from ECU and count the flashes as per previous reply on here...I have yet to locate it :)
Spoken to the friendly guys at Hitchcocks and the mods I have done shouldnt have any effect on the various sensors even with the picky Euro 4 set up....so everyone is a bit stumped. Will do the grounding of wire from ECU when it can be located and see what is being tripped.....If it was running poorly i could understand it, but it is running like a charm....
Oh well, life would be boring if these things nver happened...
Cheers all

I went round the houses on this, so this is my last missive on the matter. I contacted our hosts on several occasions, and tried to avoid a Power Commander. Thing is, with Hitchcocks silencer and K&N filter, we had severely upset the ECU and were stuck in a cul de sac. Problem sorted with PM and since then, a VRP - vibration reduction plate and 18 toot sprocket. The actual answer is avoid Euro 4 if you want your bike to sound better. Euro 3 is a much easier fix, and more tolerant of free flow filter and so on. Even the Venturi fitment will upset air flow enough to cause issues. Like you, I thought the MiL would go away.........

Hi Sophiaspin
No K&N filter installed just the stock one at moment.
If you could confirm that fitting a power commander fixed the issue i.e MIl light no longer iluminated then I am happy to go that route...Have had one ride on the bike and 20 miles in total from new so hardly gone arounf the houses myself yet :)

Cheers

You might get away with it if just the silencer but as per previous, I suggest calling our hosts. Mi e was an early problem April last year so they will have a clearer picture on euro 4 tweaks what work's what does not work and when a PC is essential.

Hi
Have spoken to our hosts earlier today and they are at a loss as much as I am, basically everything should be fine....story of my life :)
Will go through and check all connections tonight and if all else fails will treat myself to a Power Commander, any excuse to add bits to bike :)
thanks for everyones comments much appreciated.

Adding a PCV is not going to put out the MIL light. Especially on a euro 4 as it still retains the lambda sensor, as far as I know.
You need to find your ECU test wire and see what codes come up then you will know what's upsetting your ECU.

There is another option; fit the host's Mikuni carb conversion. Whilst I have neither a Euro IV bike nor a CGT I can say that on my 2015 C5 it has worked perfectly for three years. I did refit the EFI just to see if it would work. It did, but then started playing up again, so I refitted the carb. For the Euro IV CGT the conversion is quite pricey, though cheaper than a PC but you can then make changes to intake and exhaust quite easily. I also disabled the MIL on mine, otherwise it glowed all the time (it would, because most sensors were disconnected....).

As a quick update went to my friendly local dealer today and had bike plugged into proper diagnostic kit. Code P0050 flagged up undefined which was a fat lot of good 😀 p0050 search on Google throws up heated 02 sensor error for cars but nothing else...
Error was cleared and light went out, only for me to have a violent stall when pulling away and blow me light is back on !
Tending to think O2 sensor may be a culprit but will wait for service in 2 weeks time before deciding on next course of action...tbh the carb conversion is more appealling than the pcv route...
Thanks for all the responses guys much appreciated

I hate to say it but adding open pipes to Euro 4 leads to problems as already amplified on this post many times. The option is to either reverse engineer back to stock, fit a PCV and tweak to your hearts content with Venturi, KandN and more, or go the carb route. Or can the bike and get an earlier pre Euro 4. I have had 6 Enfields so been round the houses! My advice for what it is worth at this late stage, is, you have an Efi, stick with it, get the PCV and work up mods from there. Or get a carb Enfield.
