Hi Guys

i have odd question . I have 1954 frame. some of frame number are not that readable.

some part of number is gone. i can read the number if the official refuse to read then i will be trouble


Is it possible to re-stamp the frame ? there is pattern number which is not that great either.

i have invested highly in this frame :(

VIN numbers NOT required before August 1981.
How do you know the age of the frame? Have you any documentation or registration number?

I should have mentioned NEVER stamp/re-stamp any frame chassis numbers. It can end up in jail time.
I do know of ONE case where the DVLA allowed a number to be stamped. But that was on a motor-trike which unknown to the purchaser was made out of so many stolen parts, the police gave up trying to trace the original owners.
