Recently after assembling the top end of my 58 trailblazer I found that I cannot get any adjustment on my rockers. This was a partially disassembled basket case engine when I bought it with a set of new but unlabeled pushrods in the box of parts. Any chance they are the wrong ones? Are 750 pushrods longer than those for a
700? Or could it be something else? Thanks.

RDR you are right, there are several different pushrod lengths, the Interceptor ones being the longest of course. Can you measure yours and I'll check against the Connie/Super Meteor and Interceptor ones I have here?

Hi Mark. Thanks for the reply. The pushrods I have here measure 144mm.

Second time of posting, previous reply vanished! I have measured pushrods and I have various sizes, 143, 145, 144 and 146mm. Meteor Minor (500 Twin) ones are considerably shorter. For comparison I also measured an Interceptor version at 151mm. A question, are you using the well known modification of 'mushroom head' tappets at all? These do not sit as high as the originals, you may need to grind a little off the locknut flat face.
