I’m after advice on which battery to fit to a royal Enfield 350 bullet as our hosts cannot supply them any more due to carriage companies so be graitful if somebody has a link for one just woundered if there are better battery’s available now that when my bike was made in 2007 also it’s a kick start bike

Our hosts WILL sell you a replacement lead-acid battery, but they won't ship it filled with acid, you'd have to find somewhere local to you that was prepared to fill it for you.



Modern sealed gel or AGM batteries are a big improvement, as well as being OK for couriers and the Royal Mail/Parcelforce to ship, but I see that our hosts are out of stock for the size you would want if you were upgrading. So UNTIL they get some more stock in, you could try www.thebatteryshop.co.uk and see if they have any Motobatt MB5U AGM batteries. Once they have re-stocked, kindly disregard my reply!

Sadly the wrong enfield forum to ask this on given the forum rules and our hosts do sell them just cant ship them (worth the excuse to ride to solihull surely!). I would however advise you go for a sealed high Amp output gel battery over a lead acid one as they seem to hold charge longer from my experience so dont seem to go dead if you dont right the bike for a few weeks.

Thanks for advice Adrian and guys today I fitted Motobatt MB5U it says no charging is needed so I just fitted it so hope it’s dry tomorrow to try and start her up

Dazza the Motorbatt is the best one I have found by a long shot. The gell ones I found couldn't handle either the vibration or the way the alternator charges, often only getting 6 months out of those and the lead acid is just out dated, they battery world has moved on
