Hi Mark my bike as been fitted the later type cassette head lamp and i would like to go back to single head lamp. Iknow i will after buy new brackets and head lamp Plus the cowl but should the items fit on the forks with out making any alterations. Thanks

Yes it will. The list of parts you will need is quite long, as well as the headlamp brackets you will need the rubber bushes, packing pieces and cover rings (items 27 to 30 in the Online Parts Book) and of course you will need the top yoke as well if that is what you mean by 'cowl'? If you could post pictures it would help? Also, do you have the front mudguard that is fixed to the bottom yoke (which is correct for 1950) or the later type which is fixed to the fork sliders with stays? Either version will work with the new headlamp you propose to fit. Where will you get these parts from? The top yoke is different on these models to the Indian made ones so it depends on what stanchions are fitted to your bike at the moment, again, pictures would help.
