I see lots of various manuals for the Model G but its all a bit confusing which ones to buy for the restoration of my 52 Model G.

I'm waiting for delivery of "the book of enfields" and the "original model G owners handbook"

I also see books titled workshop manual and also user manual should I buy one or both?

Is there a definitive book I should also be buying?

Other than the workshop & owners manual I found the book by C.A.E Booker (Royal Enfield - m/cycle maintenance & repair series) very useful for my model G - at least it helped me understand the gearbox fitted to the G. Shop around for this book though as I've seen some go for silly money on ebay. The user manual you mention is what I just called the owners manual. I found "The book of the Royal Enfield" (pitman/Clymer veloce reprint) disappointing as all the information contained in it is already in the owners manual. Hope that helps you, best regards Mark

Cheers Marko I managed to source the CAE Booker book for £12 off eBay so it should be interesting reading.

If anyone else if after the same book there is another available for around £13 on eBay, Amazon want £40 for the same book.
