I don't often look at the REOC website so I've just had a look and it is abysmal, it's still in 2018, there is nothing on that site that makes me want to spend more than a few minutes looking. Compare it to the BSA, AJS/Matchless and other British make sites and you'll see what I mean. In my mind it offers nothing for the subscription, please don't mention the discounted insurance, that company was the dearest I was quoted, which is a shame because it should be a top site with the following Royal Enfield has. My subscription for this year will not happen unless they can present an informative and interesting site. A club membership site should be packed with all sorts of information and trivia. Perhaps Hitchcocks should take it over and incorporate it with this excellent site .

I agree.

I joined before Christmas, assuming that more would be visible on the website if I had a password as a member.

I have been told by the club that the website is 'work in progress' (fair enough,) but there are no plans at the moment for a forum (IMHO, big mistake.)

I don't think that I will be renewing my membership.

The Midland Bullet Riders website is good. It's just a pity that they only include Bullets. A section for twins would be great!

The site is currently being rebuilt. It only went live a couple of months ago so give it a chance! The REOC isn't Google so don't expect wonders chaps! REgards, Mark

Isn't the Forum THIS one? The REOC Club site does redirect us here, which seems a good idea as it'll catch more people and avoid lots of mini sites which would be confusing for me at least.

Clubs are almost always run by volunteers, doing their best. If you think that things could be improved, I'm sure your help would be welcomed. (Not directed at you, Chris S!)

Have the passwords changed recently for the REOC for sale and wanted sections?

I don't seem to be able to get in.

The last password I had was based on something hot and an animal?

Might just be that they are down.

Dave, the new password is the name of a James Bond film, can't say more! I know the chaps who are working on the new website and there will soon be a lot of new material going online including original Factory photographs, development history, manuals, etc etc. A lot of this stuff is now available courtesy of our own Allan Hitchcock who bought 2 large collections of ex-Factory paperwork. He has naturally kept all the engineering drawings but he has allowed the Club to digitise this material and put it online. This is both time-consuming and expensive so please be patient, these people also have demanding day jobs. A Club is just a group of unpaid people helping each other so if you want something that isn't available please join in in, at least make your wishes known! I run a REOC Branch (the home Counties) and there is a lot of work put in to stage events and thanks are few and far between!
