Not that I don't trust an Indian made ignition switch to MAKE a contact to kill the engine on this 612 bullet (electronic ignition) but, well, I don't.



This is a lanyard-activated kill switch normally fitted to speedboats. Push the button it stops. Pull the tab out, it stops. An added layer of security too, if you take the lanyard away, you can't start it. I'm going to swap the split ring for some paracord to stop it damaging the paint. Also going to colour the button black so it doesn't stand out so much.







The tag reads "Pull to Eject".

Seems like a good idea with the possible exception of the security issue, just how secure is that tool box if you're counting on it as an anti-theft measure? How easy would it be to hot-wire this switch? Sorry, but with the world we live in...

That would stop an opportunist taking it. But if they really want it, they roll up with a van, lift the bike into it, and away.

Hotwiring this switch would be as easy as hotwiring the ignition on a standard bullet. ie rediculously easy... providing you know what you're doing and most oppertunist thieves work to a formula for hotwiring bikes.



The best barrier to an oppertunist thief is a 612cc longstroke engine with 10:1 compression and the fact that most oppertunist theives wear trainers...

Meanwhile, back to kill switches.



No anti-theft potential with this one, just the emergency engine stop. Recently converted one of my bikes from drum to disk front brake and got this dinky little far-eastern thingy which is a direct swap for the RE master cylinder handlebar clamp.
