Hi All,

Has anyone researched which insurance companies are covering the new 650 twins ?

Surely it is the responsibilty of the Importer to provide insurers with details of the bikes so that we can get insured on them? I am only saying this because in 2013 I really struggled to get my new GT 535 insured?

Wayne I was getting ridiculously high quotes for my 500 bullet until I pointed out the low power output. I suspect the same will apply to the 650s.

Its not the power output - they need to make sure the bike is listed on the database - otherwise the bike does not exist and cannot be insured, like I said - the GT 535 did not exist on the database when it came out in 2013.

Wayne power to weigh ratio very much is a factor in the cost of insurance, as is one's age, what the bike is worth, your age and occupation and many other factors. You have been asking an "how long is a piece of string question.

If the bike is not registered on the insurance database - the insurance company simply cannot insure it - its as simple as that ...

Wayne both Carole Nash and Bennetts have published road tests on the new RE 650s so I suspect they will have them listed.

Thanks Papasmurf - I got a quote off Bennets for £177.00 for my Interceptor - both models are on the database - just waiting for delivery now !

From the news and reports from the dealers - the demo bikes will be out by the end of the month with sales bikes very soon after - exciting times !
