After 9 years of ownership the battery that come with Bertie (Kick start) is finally on its way out, it is only registering 10.5 volt but to my surprise is still producing enough to start and run the engine.
haven't taken it for a ride so not sure what will happen with lights on!

Hello Bertie------haven't heard from you for a while-------9 years is it ??....and hardly a moan from you during that time either = WELL DONE !!......You'll have to start a thread entitled}-- "How to own a Bullet the easy way"....

Must admit Alan, never really had good reason to moan, since Bertie has never broken down(touching wood).
Think a new battery might be in order though!

Hi Bertie, haven't SEEN you for a while either at Kent club nights,do you still get emails? If you fancy coming along tomorrow (Tues. 13th) we have a guest speaker from MAG (motorcycle action group}. As regards the battery, if after charging it soon drops back to 10.5 you probably do need to think of replacing soon. Batteries can last a very long time however. I bought my Citroen new in 2001 and the original battery is still going strong & has never even been re-charged in 17 years! Oh I guess that's tempting fate - probably wont start tomorrow now!
