Yes it is the one that keeps nipping up, not found the cause. Very irritating hence going to send it away until it behaves!! I have spent too much time in this , which I don’t have, so cheque book is coming out. Barrel piston oil pump all renewed . Oil circulation looks good. Tolerances on pitston/ rings good. Changed the jets to be richer on the Amal and timing seems ok, this is the part where I may be going wrong. But after the rebuild she fired up straight away and ran sweet. In for MOT , 10 mile round trip. Gently , then a 15 mile into Cambridge all ok, couple of hours then back home. 10 mile at a gentle 50 mph I felt the nip approaching, clutch in kill switch on, coasted to a halt. I could feel the heat but probably normal. 10 mins , re started and if I went home . Still starts and ticks over ok, few more oil leaks but nothing major, needs re torquing I expect. My local dealer not that interested and I would like it done righ as I actually like the bike. I have owned since new and it’s a keeper! How’s yours running? What can you cruise at?
