A Liquid- Cooled engine should be almost mechanically-silent; peace and quiet at last.

The company says that it worked closely with one of the world's leading engine specialist at the technical centre in Varese, Italy. One of their main briefs was to build an engine that will last a lifetime, and if anything, it had to be free revving. The company also keen on recreating the unique exhaust note of the old Jawa motorcycles, for which the engineers in Italy worked extensively with the Indian team through countless cycles of harmonic pipe combinations and multiple other permutations to get the desired exhaust note.

It will be interesting to have a video with some sound to hear the thing running. Trying to get a 4 stroke single to sound like a 2 stroke twin seems a bit bizarre.

Hi, I dont remember the Jawa sounding anything different from the other 2 strokes of that period? Also would the new customers who might buy have heard it anyway.Vince.

JAWA produced many four stroke engines; I believe their earliest ones were built in the late 1920s. I particularly remember their 500 single speedway engines and always fancied one in a road bike. The latest creation actually looks to have similar styling to those engines.

In fairness, they have more in common with an enfield than a Jawa. Other than styling, there is nothing fundamentally "jawa" about them.

I must admit, it's a pretty good job of making a liquid-cooled single look like an air cooled twin. With that odd exhaust manifold, I did wonder if it was a twinport when I first saw it.

Needs more left hand kickstart that is also a gear lever. And a rev counter with a green "economic" sector. And a universal ignition key that's also the headlight switch.
