Has anyone changed the fuel level indicator bulb on a classic chrome? It seems to be a really tight space to work in, and surely there must be an easy way!

I did mine recently, Changed them all for LEDs, and yes it's fiddley turn to left lock and work from outside the casquette, and use a pair of long nose pliers on the rubber part of the bulb holder , apply downward pressure at the same time wiggle back and forth it will come out. When you reinstall a smear of rubber grease or similar will help next time.
