Hi might be an idea to fit a 18 or 19 tooth gearbox sprocket, gets the revs down a bit on motorways. I run a 19 and can quite easily sit on 70 mph,110kph no problems not a big job takes about half an hour.. my 2 bobs worth.

Cheers all I think I need to just venture on to some motorway type roads and get used to it. I am not sure about changing the sprocket as I like having a lot of low down torque for hills and lanes, I am setting my bike up as a bit of a scrambler and fancy the idea of trying some green lanes on it eventially.

I could cruise at 50mph and had a top speed of 60 mph on the 2003 b350 standard I owned.I thought the 500 would easily hit 70mph.Considering a 500, anyone any advice.

Ultimately, the faster you go the less distance you'll cover. Engine life = RPM x Distance

Best get yourself a 612 - best of both worlds.

Load of grunt constant 70 no probs.

Just bought my old 612 back - dont know what made me sell it in the first place !!

Busy re furbishing it at the moment, evidence suggests that it could have been better looked after.......

Really looking forward to getting back on it.
