All, can you please tell me what the 's' and 'o' mean on the rear brake pad indicator - which means good/new and which means thin/replace? Where should it actually sit when a new pad is installed and can the position be adjusted? TIA, Matt

What bike please as pad implies disc brake. It drum brake the worn shoe indicating line shoould be checked with the brake applied. If the indicator goes past the line, check the shoes physically.

Papasmurf, thanks, sorry about the wrong term. It's a 2006 Electra X. Is there any initial adjustment required or even available, or is it what-you-see-is-what-you-get?
