I bought all the bits to fit the rear wheel to my model G from Hitchcocks but I'm at a loss how it all goes together.

There are two knurled spacers that seem to slide into the cutouts at the back of the frame but the holes are not wide enough to fit to the ends of the axle, speaking to Richard at Hitchcocks he says they fit to a bolt like a fast release fitment but I really don't know what he means.

The axle is the right size for the axle nuts I got from Hitchcocks but one has a short shoulder and the other a long shoulder but I really dont know which side is which.

Has anyone got an exploded diagram of how it all goes together?

Or even some advice?

Not sure about the 'fast release' comment - maybe a bit of misunderstanding there - but the centre bolt is the part that passes through the 'slip collar' [otherwise called the 'knurled spacer']. From the speedo drive side of the wheel the sequence of parts would be - centre bolt; flat washer; snail cam [?]; knurled spacer ['slip collar']; hex nut; speedo drive; collar; washers; bearing. Ought to point out that there would be only one of these knurled spacers - not 2 [in manual they are called 'slip collar']. May I respectfully suggest you purchase the Model G Workshop manual - where you will find not only written instructions but 2 very clear drawings of this particular fitting?
