Schoolboy question, but having taken the rear wheel and brake set up off, I just cant remember the rebuild set up. i.e. is the thick washer/spacer between the brake plate and swinging arm OR is it (brake plate- swinging arm) snail cam, spacer then large hub nut?

Ive taken the wheel out any number of times and slackened nut for chain adjustment, just cant remember where the spacer/ thick washer goes!
Any help gratefully received!

On my Electra X the brake plate side is brake plate, big washer, swing arm, snail adjuster, big nut. The axle head with the tommy bar hole goes in at this side. The other side of the hub is big wide spacer, swing arm, snail adjuster and castle nut. Well it is on mine anyway.

Thanks for the speedy replies. I thought it was as graham43 said. (and thats how I have done it, but thought it best to check!)
I looked on here and have the RE parts book, but it doesnt show where they fit in relation to the S/A.
Its great that we have this site to turn to, not least because I dont know how you would establish something like this without other owners support. Cheers.

Best to take photos while taking it apart, my bike is in the garage with the rear brake in bits and tomorrow I will hopefully be putting it all back.

Thanks lord toady, that video was a great help. Although mine is the pre unit model and the drive chain is on the other side, it looks exactly the same.
Ps the rear wheel was out but the bike fell off the centre stand resting on the chain guard and cush drive, so it was a mad dash to try to jack it up enough to get it back on the stand....I needed to dispense with the drive to get the jack in, hence didnt pay attention to the set up. Fortunately no harm done, except hurt pride and knackered from balancing 185kgs!
