Still haven't got my head around the whole Albion gearbox system yet. Is there an easy fix to stop my gearbox from slipping out of first gear on medium revs. All other gears seem to be absolutely fine. Many thanks

Quick fix to keep you rolling. Keep your foot under the clutch pedal with pressure until ready to change gear.Have you done the clutch adjustment?

Don't really understand where the clutch pedal is on the bike and yes the scissor clutch basket, plates springs etc have all been renewed and adjusted perfectly.

The only Connie I knew was Connie Francis but I am sure there are others here that can give you better advice.

You could try tightening the spring on the gear operator detent although when my bullet developed that fault, further investigation revealed the dogs on two of the gear clusters were chipped.

It sounds like the selector plate needs adjusting, specifically the clearance between the inner and outer ratchet plate. This is covered in the gearbox section of the Workshop Manual.
