Mine are a different mount than yours. I tried a bi-directional LED and it was a bit better but then I tried one like this

and it was very bright and easily seen even in bright sunlight.  But it's uni-directional so I had to add a couple of small diodes in the cable.

Before I fitted leds in the indicators I had 20W bulbs fitted.  (Hard to get out - the heat had distorted the mount). I used the swinging ammeter needle to tellme the indicators were flashing

Hi Stinkwheel, yes they were the exact ones in the link, though when it arrived it did say that if it didn't work when plugged in, to turn it around...
